Warranty Policy

Warranty coverage varies by part condition and source. Here's exactly what's covered.

Last Updated: July 9, 2026

1. Warranty Terms by Part Type

Every part sourced through Atreus Autoparts includes a written warranty. The term depends on the part's condition and source, confirmed on your order paperwork:

  • OEM (new factory) parts: covered by the manufacturer's original warranty terms, typically 12 months, passed through at the time of sale.
  • New aftermarket parts: typically 90 days to 2 years depending on the manufacturer, as stated on your order paperwork.
  • Remanufactured parts: typically 12–24 months depending on the component and rebuilder, as stated on your order paperwork.
  • Used / recycled (take-off) parts: typically 30–90 days from delivery, covering defects in the part as graded and described at the time of sale.

Exact warranty length is confirmed verbally on your call and printed on the paperwork shipped with your part — if in doubt, your invoice controls.

2. What Is Covered

Our warranty covers parts that fail to perform as described due to a defect present at the time of shipment, or that do not match the condition quoted (for example, a used part graded as functioning that does not operate as described).

3. What Is Not Covered

  • Damage caused by improper installation, misuse, or failure to follow standard installation procedures.
  • Normal wear and tear on used parts consistent with the mileage/condition disclosed at time of sale.
  • Parts that were misdiagnosed as the cause of an unrelated vehicle issue.
  • Cosmetic imperfections on used parts disclosed at the time of quote.
  • Damage occurring after delivery due to accident, weather, or improper storage.
  • Labor costs for removal, installation, or diagnostic work, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

4. Filing a Warranty Claim

Call (888) 491-3192 with your order number and a description of the issue. We coordinate directly with the supplying yard or manufacturer to evaluate the claim. Depending on the finding, we will arrange a replacement part, repair, or refund consistent with the applicable warranty term.

5. Diagnostic Documentation

For mechanical and electrical components, we may request a written diagnostic (for example, from your installing shop) confirming the part is the source of the issue before a warranty claim is approved. This helps ensure a fair, fast resolution for every claim.

6. Transferability

Warranty coverage applies to the original purchaser and the vehicle the part was sourced for, and is not transferable to a different vehicle or subsequent owner unless stated otherwise on your order paperwork.

7. Relationship to Return Policy

Warranty claims filed after your standard return window (see our Return & Refund Policy) are handled as warranty repairs/replacements rather than standard returns, and follow the process above.
